For Approaching places i used a reflection based idea around water. i looked at my location (The canal) and thought about different ways to present it to people. I chose to do three different sections, two images for each. Six images in total. I wanted to think about John Starkowsi and his book 'The Photographers eye'. The Frame. For the first set I chose to look at a frame, within a frame. Keeping things simple but interesting. The second set i chose to really think about the detail, being the detail in the reflection of the object as well as the thing itself. The final set i looked at the vantage point. Having my photos turned upside down gave them a new meaning. They are dream like.
Changing Places took an influence from my recent trip to New York. i chose to try and change the place using New York themed things to change a place, such as wall paper and creating a gallery of my own photos. I also used a floral pattern, as it worked well and created a contrast. This was the more fun section of the project as i got to play around with different ideas and different ways to change my place.
